For three years, Jim Hawk played rhythm guitar in the band. In April of 2014 Jim went home to be with the Lord after a two year battle with cancer. Jim was a great leader and offered much encouragement to the group. While Jim played in the band, he also wrote many of the music charts for the group. Jim was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Rockwall where he played in the worship band even until his last days. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Jim loved his Harley and was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Many times when you saw Jim riding, you saw his wife Linda riding with him. On several occasions Linda would tote Jim’s music gear in their car to wherever he was playing just so Jim could cut out a little early and put in some seat time prior to his next performance. The two were not only husband and wife, but you could see in their everyday lives that they were best friends. Linda never missed a concert Jim played in, and to this day Linda continues to support the quartet and can be found selling CD’s at the group’s product table after concerts. Jim’s family urges all who can to contribute to the American Cancer Society and the Wounded Warriors Project. Our friend is greatly missed.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
From the suburbs of Dallas Texas, gospel music fills the air near the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard and Rockwall Texas. Spiritual 4-Cast Quartet was organized in 2001 made up from members of the worship choir from First Baptist Church. Who would have ever guessed that less than three years later they would record their first CD “Steppin’ Out”. The group recorded their second CD in 2011 and are currently working on their third and fourth CD projects.
Through the years the quartet has sung in a verity of churches in North and Central Texas as well as other venues which include the National Postmasters Convention at the Tarrant County Convention Center and the Regan Days GOP fund raising event for three consecutive years and other various patriotic events. The group has grown in recent years with the addition of a band in 2011. Current members of the band and quartet represent several Dallas area churches where they are all active as leaders of worship.
The group continues to pursue excellence with every song they sing and are committed to clearly and effectively communicating the “Message of the Gospel” with powerful lyrics and inspiring music. They sincerely believe they are doing what God has called them to do. While having fun and entertaining their listeners, their most important objective is to spread the message through gospel music.
